Greetings Webtaculators! Happy Father’s Day to all of you dads out there. Try to enjoy the summer solstice while your celebrating as well. On to the news.

STORY OF THE WEEK (5 min. read)
What: Remember Those Lost
Why: Because I’m still trying to figure out how we live in a reality where pure hatred drives peoples’ actions. This cannot stand. And neither can the Confederate battle flag. The amount of times I have seen this flag flown proudly in my life sickens me, and I can only imagine how this banner of hatred and anti-Americanism makes the people who it directly antagonizes feel. The widespread acceptance of the flag has a direct relation to the way in which the U.S. treats its black citizens, and it needs to go. My thoughts are with Charleston, and with our brothers and sisters that we lost to actions taken in fulfillment of what this symbol represents. ‪#‎BlackLivesMatter‬. More recommended readings.

ECONOMIC THING OF THE WEEK (4 min. read)
What: Single Payer Health Care, Not By The Government

MUSIC THING OF THE WEEK (2 min. read)
What: Shots Fired
Why: Because Apple’s new service won’t be getting the one of the biggest albums of the year.

ART THING OF THE WEEK (25 min. look)
What: The History Of Slavery In Charleston
Why: Because you need to know this.

LANGUAGE THING OF THE WEEK (3 min. watch)
What: What Is A Word?
Why: Because words are always evolving, and it’s really hard to use words to describe what a word actually is.

LITERATURE THING OF THE WEEK (5 min. read)
What: Grey Is A Piece Of Shit (Please Don’t Buy Any More Fifty Shades Books)
Why: Because what amounts to many Americans current advice book on BDSM basically suggests that women like stalkers, that assholes like Grey are desirable, and that men actually think that their penises are able to enjoy music. E. L. James has managed to make the world of literature a much more stupid place.

VIDEO GAME THING OF THE WEEK (3 min. watch)
What: E3
Why: Because all of the biggest video games that either you or someone you know will be playing in the next year just were announced. Personally, I can’t wait for Fallout 4.

ECONOMIC THING OF THE WEEK (4 min. read)
What: Well, I Guess That’s One Way To Do It
Why: Because with over one trillion dollars of debt owed by Americans, maybe defaulting isn’t such a terrible idea after all. Especially when this is happening.

LAW THING OF THE WEEK (2 min. read)
