Why: Because inflation is making things more expensive. It is very weird to me that not many people are understanding that a combination of a year+ global shutdown, protracted supply chain issues, mass retirements, and general malaise inevitably would make prices higher, but apparently that’s too simple of a premise. Also, personal hot take – gasoline isn’t expensive enough.

Why: Because the continuous news about just how many current and former Republican operatives were explicitly involved in planning and carrying out an attempted coup on America is astounding, other than the fact that it seems like no one really cares any more?

Why: Because humans launched an object that touched the Sun’s atmosphere. Given, this is 8 million miles from the Sun’s surface, but that’s still neat. I can think of quite a few people who should be on board the next time NASA tries this.
