Why: Because many people overreacted to a lack of information regarding the firing Victoria, Reddit’s director of talent. Many subreddits protested the firing by effectively taking some of the most visible groups offline. A lot of people blame Reddit’s current CEO.  Most people will not care about this, but your geeky Internet addicted friends definitely do.

What: Treat Soccer With The Respect It Deserves
Why: Because one of the largest events in women’s sports is basically ignored by everyone.

(Although on a personal level, I always liked playing on the newer artificial turf over real “grass”. But I guess when the playing surface alternative is half inch perfect bermuda grass as opposed to a half dry dirt / crabgrass mixture, it’s more understandable.)
